Don't Be Afraid

Artist's Project Description:I wanted to create a piece that highlighted my time as an essential worker during the height of COVID & BLM in 2020. During this period, I was able to see the world around me reflected in the customers I interacted with, but more importantly the people I worked with. With everything happening in the news, the world's true colors were shown and the we saw the good, the bad, and the ignorance. I thought it was important to share some of what I learned throughout this time. Not everyone reacts the same way to tragedy, whether it's because of pain or sadness. Not everyone is ready to stand in the streets and face the injustices within our police system. Some people go out simply without wearing a mask. This piece is a testimony to some real life instances I faced.
