Artist's Project Description: 8 Ways to Say Goodbye was streamed on Facebook as a part of a larger project honoring George Floyd. The piece captures the perspective of a young girl going experiencing the pain of losing her father due to police brutality. The actress Moriah Edmunds filmed herself as if she was having a facetime call with her deceased father.
Artist's Bio: Morgan Heyward is a theater creator from upstate New York. Her company Illuminate Theatre shines light on actors of color who have been left in the shadows. She is a multi-hyphenated artist working on all fronts to create art that amplifies black stories.
